Our Story
Purity Foods Hawaii, Inc., brings together a family of tastes and traditions representative of Hawaii’s melting pot of cultures. From Hawaiian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, and more, Purity Foods Hawaii brands celebrate these food traditions.
Our brands include Gouvea’s, Purity, May’s, Hawaiian Sausage Company, and the Hawaiian Fishcake Brand. Purity, Gouvea’s, and May’s are family businesses with long histories in Hawai’i. Together with the Hawaiian Sausage Company and Hawaiian Fishcake, Scott and Bill continue to run Purity Foods Hawaii, Inc. in the family tradition.
Our mission is to sustain a thriving company so that we can provide the flavors of Hawaii to the people of Hawaii and the mainland, always delivered with the spirit of Aloha.

Myra Kamihara-Pablo recently took home trophies at the Cedar Ridge High School Wrestling Team Chili Cook off. The competition was held on October 19, 2019 at Blue Bonnet Brewery in Round Rock, TX. Participants paid $10 to enter, while spectators paid $5 to taste each entry and vote on their favorites in three different categories (Wrestler’s choice, People’s choice and Spiciest).
All proceeds went to the Cedar Ridge High School Wrestling Team to purchase new mats.
"I was one of the participants and wanted to promote a “local chili” from Hawaii using Purity Portuguese Sausage. I used a combination of hot and mild Portuguese sausage which made the chili “ono” (delicious). To my surprise, I was voted the winner for “wrestler’s choice and people’s choice”. I was surprised to win because this is the first time I made a hearty chili without beans." - Myra
